Consider an electromagnetic made from a solenoid, hooked to an EMF source. The current flowing through the solenoid is 10.0A The solenoid is 32cm long and has 16 turns.

(a) Indicate the direction of magnetic field.

(b) Indicate the location of the north and south pole of this magnet.

(c) Calculate the strength of the magnetic field inside the solenoid.

(d) What would the strength of the magnetic field be if an iron core( relative permeability, k=200) were at the center of the solenoid?
