In a binary star system, two stars have elliptical orbits about the center of mass of the system. Consider a binary star system consisting of stars of masses 2.30 x 1030 kg and 3.10 x 1030 kg. If at one point in their orbit they are 4.40 x 1016 m apart, then they move closer together to become 1.80 x 1015 m apart, what is the change in the gravitational potential energy of the system?
