Three sinnal-phase 50 KVA 2400:240 -volts transformers are connected Y-Δ and supplied with power through a 2400-V (line to line) 3-phase feeder whose reactance is 0.80 Ω/phase. The equivalent reactance of each transformer referred to its high voltage side is 1.82 Ω. All circuit resistances will be neglected. At its sending end the feeder isconnected to the secondary terminals of a 3-phase Y-Δ connected transformer whose 3-phase rating is 600kVA, 24000:2400 V (line to line voltages). The equvalent reactance of the sendin-end transformers is 2.76 Ω / phase Δ referred to the 2400-V side. The voltage applied to the primary terminals is 24000 V line to line.
A 3-phase short circuit occurs at the 240-V terminals of the receiving -end transformers. Compute the steady-state short-circuit current in the 2400-V feeder wires, in the primary and secondary windings of the receving-end transformers, and at the 240 V transformers.
Write a MATLAB program than can find and plot the pendulum angle as a function of time given an initial swing angle f=f/2. Using the plot command of MATLAB, display and animate a pendulum swinging based on the described conditions.
A uniform electric field of magnitude 690 N/C exists between two parallel plates that are 3.88 cm apart. A proton is released from rest at the positive plate at the same instant an electron is released from rest at the negative plate.
If mechanical input power is increased following synchronization but not field current, prove that the angle between the resultant current and the terminal voltage will always be delta/2. Prove it geometrically with a graph and also via the equati..
Consider an 8-user CDMA system. The data vector of all users is given by [1,1,1,1,-1,-1,-1,1]. Find the total transmit signal.
A special external data signal (DATA_READY) is asserted whenever each of the bits for X are available. In addition, another special signal (ENCODE) is asserted during the transmission of the data X indicating whether 2X+3 or 3X+1 should be compute..
write a script that will call: a function to prompt the user for an angle in degrees and call a function to calculate and return the angle in radians (note:pi radian =180) and call a function to print the result.
Given the digital filter transfer function H(z)=1-z^-1 , what is the step response (that is, the input to the filter is unit step sequence u(n) ) of the filter A. y(n)= delta(n)+delta(n+1) B. y(n)=u(n-1) C. y(n)=u(n)-u(n-1) D. y(n)=u(n-2)
A control system is needed to control a small shopping center parking lot lighting system and the exterior lighting for the building. The design specifications require that the parking lot lighting and the exterior lighting turn on at dusk automat..
Find the propagation delay for a minimum-size inverter for which Kn' = 3 Kp' = 180 uA/V^2 , and (W/L)n = (W/L)p = 0.75 um/0.5 um , VDD = 3.3 V , Vtn = -Vtp = 0.7 V, and the capacitance is roughly 2
at the frequency f=12khz, a filter is designed to attenuate the input signal by 78db, find the amplitude of the output signal if the 12khz input has an amplitude of 1V.
Find the charge on the capacitor in an LRC series circuit at t = 0.01 s when L = 0.05 h, R = 2 O, C = 0.01 f, E(t) = 0 V, q(0) = 5 C, and i(0) = 0 A. Determine the first time at which the charge on the capacitor is equal to zero.
At a point f in the system, there is an open-circuit fault on phase-a with a voltage across the open-circuit as Vfa , whereas Vfb =Vfc =0. Similar to the calculations of the short-circuit currents by making use of the sequence networks
