Task details:
• Using available health system resources and evidence, compare and contrast two health systems and identify the key priority areas for your chosen country's health systems.
• Present your findings in the style of a report

Your report should include:
1. A brief overview of both countries e.g. location, population, geography, political structure, main health issues (epidemiology) and their health systems.

2. An outline of the important similarities and differences between the two health systems using an appropriate framework (e.g., the WHO building blocks).

3. An outline of the similarities and differences between the performance of the two health systems (e.g., in terms of life expectancy, mortality, morbidity, responsiveness and financial protection).

4. A brief discussion of the key strengths and weaknesses of each health system.

5. Propose and outline priority areas for both countries' health systems. Consider some of the challenges and considerations with addressing these priority areas (e.g., taking into account the differences you have identified between the two countries).

6. A concise conclusion that draws together your main points.

Purpose:
Comparing health systems is important for identifying weaknesses and inequalities within and between health systems and for identifying areas for strengthening. This report helps students to communicate scientific information clearly and structure information in a logical and effective way to stakeholders. The skills gain through this assessment are:
• Ability to source and synthesise real world data
• Ability to present scientific information in a clear and understandable way to relevant stakeholders
• Ability to research and generate an argument supported by evidence
• Evaluate the performance of a health system
• Apply analytical skills to determine health system priority areas for governments
• Apply a systems thinking mindset
