During class, we touched upon various cultural beliefs and values in American society that have influenced healthcare delivery and how they have shaped the healthcare delivery system. Various public health efforts are underway to reduce reliance on 'sick care' and turn our focus to 'wellness' lifestyles and disease prevention. Compare and contrast two examples of the U.S. healthcare system's reliance on the 'sick care' delivery model of care and public health's mission to improve health outcomes by 'health promotion and disease prevention'. Use at least one evidence-based resource to support your answer.
