Compare and contrast genetic drift and inbreeding in each of the following areas: When acting alone, how do they each affect heterozygosity? Explain the major difference in the way that they do this. I know that Genetic drift results in the random fixation of alleles and loss of heterozygosity. Continued inbreeding reduces heterozygosity over time. However, what the different ways that they do this?
