Case scenario

A financial organisation requires the ability to deploy a Loan Management System to streamline its loan management process. They are required to develop Loan Management System to integrate with the existing Accounting System. The project deals with loan origination process. The system should be able to perform loan quotation, loan application, loan approval, loan disbursement and loan collection in 120 branches. They have a Document Management System that will be used to store and retrieve documents in relation to the customer's loan application process. The customers will be able to get online quotation from the system and apply for loan using online loan application module. The customers will attach supporting documents with the application that will be stored in existing Document Management System. The loan officer will process and approve or reject the application. The customers will get the system-generated outcome notification. The loan officer will disburse the loan once it is approved. Then the loan will be collected based on repayment schedule. The objectives of the project are: faster and more efficient payment collection processing, reduce human errors and potential leakages in collection, formal records for payments and loans, centralised payment and collection processing, centralised loan monitoring, centralised loan application, real-time business control and management and electronic payment collection processes.

For this assessment, you are required to perform details technical analysis, development strategy, system architecture design, prepare use case diagram and description, data model, interface design, and report design.

Report Writing Guidelines:
Your report must include the following.

Title Page - Clearly set out the title of your assessment, your name, your student ID, the unit name, the unit code and the name of the lecturer. There must be no graphics or pictures of any kind on the title page.

Executive Summary - Provide 'No more than one page' of summary.

Table of Contents - Auto-generated using the word processor.

Introduction - This section should introduce the general aims, backgrounds of the organisation, and areas/issues you will discuss in the report.

Body - Discuss your findings in detail, where appropriate, headings and sub-headings should be included with the logical progression of your report from one idea to the next.

Do not use the word 'Body' as a heading - identify words that relate to your report for the heading.
Body of your report should include:
Use case diagram.
Use case descriptions for 3 of the use cases identified.
Model the data using an Entity Relationship diagram. Make sure you include all the business rules used to complete the diagram as part of your extended scenario.
*Design a suitable system architecture for the recommended system.
Design five of the suitable interfaces for the system.
Design a suitable report for the owner.
Recommend a suitable development strategy for the organisation. Justify your recommendation with supporting literature.

Conclusion - In this section, you need to summarise your work and findings. You should introduce no new points in your conclusion.

References - This is a list of all the books and articles you have cited in your assessment. Use APA referencing style for your in-text citations as well as your list of references.
