Case: A company's employee is arrested for running a scam website and the company's name is all over the news. The person had been hired into the company's IT department to work at the help desk and it turns out that he was on parole for another felony. The employee had not lied in his application about being on parole, but according to the company's policies the hiring manager did not get to see the whole personnel file for new hires.
