Scenario

Meet Tony.

Tony is a young man who has been with CareShore for a few years.

Tony has never engaged with the service for more than a couple of months at a time, and he always ended up being "timed out" from the service because of verbally abusing and threatening his key worker at the time.

Tony has recently come back to the service after a few months away in gaol where Tony was diagnosed with mental illness and put on medication. Tony is rather vague when it comes to imparting information about a potential diagnosis but he stated that he does not mind the medication as it calms him down. He continues taking his medication despite the fact that Tony is currently homeless.

You notice that Tony appears more and more sedated when he comes to see you, and he finds it hard to keep his eyes open. When you ask him about what is happening Tony tells you that he enjoys the occasional drink which makes him very tired. You also find out that Tony has started seeing a GP for a chronic pain condition, and Tony says that the GP has promised to prescribe him something strong to finally deal with his constant back pain.
