From the perspective of a treating therapist, I am supposed to create a letter to update the parent on case conceptualization and recommend interventions for their adolescent with the recommended approach being CBT-cognitive behavioral therapy. The child patient has been diagnosed with MDD-major depressive disorder and the main issue that triggers her symptoms comes fom her parents marital problems (fear of father leaving and never seeing him and fear that he will remarry and she will not get along with his new family).
