Many people believe that the United States should continue to use coal or natural gas as the principal energy source for electricity generation. Coal and natural gas are better sources than renewable sources for electricity generation. On the contrary, some people debate that the United States should expand its use of renewable resources - including nuclear power - to generate electricity, replacing coal-fired plants with nuclear power plants as soon as possible.
