Watch a television drama program that uses professional and/or technical language (medical, legal, scientific)—acceptable programs are House, MD, Grey's Anatomy, NCIS, Bones, Big Bang Theory, Intelligence, Almost Human, CSI. Write down five words that you don’t know that are used throughout the program. Look up and record the words’ definitions. Did you feel that you needed to understand what the words meant at the time you heard them in the program? How did looking up their definitions affect your initial understanding of the words
