Cirrus clouds typically form between heights of 6 km to 7.5 km. Determine the type of ice crystals that form at those heights to make up the cloud. To answer this question, use the .pdf of the "US Standard Atmosphere", which is in the same folder as this homework assignment, using the column "Z" for the height in meters (don't forget to convert from km to meters), to find the air temperature at those heights. Then use the appropriate slide in the lecture 3 PowerPoint to find how ice crystals type depends on temperature.
