Research suggests that the relation between circadian rhythm with body temperature determines the quality of workout. The exercise is most productive when the body temperature is highest and the effect lowest when the body temperature is at the lowest resulting in a non-productive workout.

Research has determined that in normal conditions body temperature is lowest one to three hours before the normal waking up time of a person. Body temperature is highest in late afternoon. It has been found that a workout in late afternoon give a better result. Muscles are warmer and flexible at the peak time resulting in low exertion and high strength.

There are many people who are interested in finding the best exercise to do while at work. This can actually mean different things to different people. Some may want to "get in shape" and others may just want to do "cubicle stretches". However, one thing is for certain; If you're a desk worker, you need a good workout routine to avoid repetitive strain injuries like carpal tunnel and to keep you fit.
