Our government, created by the U.S. Constitution, was designed to work a certain way.  It is democratic, yet not as democratic as it could be.  It is capable of great power, yet it is clearly a limited government.  The federal government shares power with the states, the central components of our system.  Describe the central principles of the design of American government (how our government is supposed to work) and then answer this question: does our government work (today) the way it was designed to work?
