Question

Mustard gas can change DNA as when it interacts it causes a link between two guanines, this link is called GMG. Guanines on opposite strands can cause the strands to stick together or between the guanines on the same side. Mustard gas can also function as an alkylating agent, this involves the alkyl groups to be attached to the DNA structure. When mustard gas forms a bond between two DNA strands it prevents them from unwinding for replication. The mutagen can also result in incorrect base pairing between the DNA nucleotides which can result in mutation. is this right.
