Your patient is a 25-year-old male student, single, of caucasian-Irish heritage. He is currently in the Emergency Department following a motor vehicle collision.

Past medical history and medications: He has a prosthetic heart valve because of a heart condition. He takes blood thinners daily.

Current Condition: Bleeding from wound to the right leg
