According to Ethics for Life: A Text with Readings, there are two main types of ethical theories-non-cognitive and cognitive theories. Cognitive theories can be further separated into two theories--relativist theories and universalist theories.

Using Ethics for Life as your source,

Write a 500- to 750-word essay in which you overview the history of ethics briefly, and then summarize and compare these categories of ethical theories.

  • As you summarize and compare, be sure to describe these different levels or categories in some detail.
