Capstone Industry Project Assessment: Project Reflection
Learning Outcome 1: Critically reflect on approaches taken and performance of the team in the development of a solution to an applied project.
Assessment Instructions
This individual assessment consists of two reflective reports of approximately 750 words each (±10%), submitted at different points in the project timeline.
Reflection 1: Focuses on your early-stage contributions and experiences, capturing insights about planning, initial development, and collaboration.
Reflection 2: Focuses on your performance and growth in the final project stages, including how you applied feedback and refined your approach.
The two-part structure is intentional to help you identify how your thinking, contributions, and teamwork evolved over time. This comparative perspective supports deeper critical reflection on your development.
Your reflections must include:
An analysis of how use cases were integrated into the UI design.
Comprehensive system design models (e.g., DFDs, ERDs, and computer system architecture diagrams). Additionally, students must evaluate their approach to network security, system testing, and project execution, identifying areas of success and opportunities for improvement.
A review of the system switchboard and storyboard.
A discussion of the advanced class diagram and computer system architecture.
Evaluation of client-server and network architecture, LAN and WAN designs, and topologies.
A detailed test plan linked to the documented requirements.
