A small balloon of the volume 2 10????3 m3 is lled with the helium gas at atmospheric pressure p = 100 kPa and a temperature 15C. Once we release the balloon it rises rapidly to an altitude at which the atmospheric pressure drops by 5 %. At that point the balloon breaks. Consider that there is no heat exchange during the process.

a) Calculate the volume and temperature of the gas before the balloon breaks.

b) What is the change in internal energy of the gas?
