two identical CE amplifiers are connected in cascade. The first stage is fed with a source eVsig having a resistance Rsig= 10k ohms. A load resistance Rl=10K ohms and is connected to the collector of the 2nd stage. Each BJT is biased at Ic= .25mA and has beta =100 and a very large Va. Each stage utilizes a collector resistance Rc=10K ohms.
(a) Sketch the equivalent circuit of the two stage amplifier.
(b) Calculate the voltage transmission from the signal source to the input of the first stage.
(c) Calculate the voltage gain of thefirst stage, Av1.
(d) Calculate the voltage gain of the second stage, Av2.
(e) Find the overall voltage gain, Vo2/Vsig.
the CMRR of a differential votage amplifier is specified as CMRR >10³, its voltage gain is G=50. the two input voltage have values v1=10.3 and v2=10.1.
A fully enclosed cylindrical fuel tank with a diameter of 6.00 meters and a height of 8.00 meters has a manufacturing tolerance of +/- 0.04 meters for each of these dimensions. What is the minimum possible surface area and volume for this object
Consider a PNP BJT optimum designed for low voltage high current gain. (a) Draw energy band diagram with proper labeling with VCB= -0.7V, VEB= 0.7V. Which mode is the BJT operated in (b) Plot excess minority charges stored in each region with pro..
Design a load resistor (resistance rating and power rating) network to have the transformer operate at full load. Design a second network for half load. You may need to combine several resistors to get the desired value.
Two three-phase loads are y-connected across a 300 Volt three phase line. One load draws 10kW at a p.f. of 0.9 leading, and the second load draws 8kW at a p.f. of 0.6 lagging. V(line-neutral)=300V/sqrt(3)=173.21V
A shunt regulator utilizes a zener diode whose voltage is 5.1V at a current of 50 ma and whose incremental resistance is 8 ohms. The diode is fed from a supply of 12 V nominal voltage through a 220 ohm resistor
Two dc motors are compared. the first one is a 4hp dc motor which draws a current or 0.7A when the field is connected to a 150V source. the second, a 600 hp motor draws a field current of 5A when the field is connected to a 300V dc source.
at the frequency f=12khz, a filter is designed to attenuate the input signal by 78db, find the amplitude of the output signal if the 12khz input has an amplitude of 1V.
To digitally manipulate information we must encode it using binary numbers. Consider an encoding for playing cards. There are 52 cards in a deck and they are divided
The current through a branch in a linear network is 2 A when the input source is 10 V. If the voltage is reduced to 1 V and the polarity is reversed, the current through the branch is a. - 2 A b. - 0.2 A c. 0.2 A d. Cannot be determined with the in..
An EKG signal is contaminated by 60-Hz noise. Design a bandstop filter to remove this noise while limiting distortion of the EKG signal. Sketch the magnitude and phase response.
A 440-V three-hase Y-connected synchronous motor has a synchronous reactance of 1.5 ohms per phase. The field current has been adjusted so that the torque angle is 28 degrees when the supplied power to the motor is 90kW.
