An upright object that is h = 3 cm tall is placed s1 = 101 cm in front of a diverging lens having a focal length of magnitude |f1| = 25 cm. A converging lens with a focal length of magnitude |f2| = 29 cm is placed a distance d = 34 cm past the first lens.

-What is the image distance (s1′) of the image (measured from the first lens) formed by the first lens? Your answer must be in terms of the symbols given in the problem set.

-Calculate the value of the image distance s1′ in cm for the given values.

-What is the distance from the first image to the second lens? Your answer must be in terms of the symbols given in the problem set including s1′. Call this distance s2.

-What is the image distance (s2′) of the image (measured from the second lens) formed by the second lens? Your answer must be in terms of the symbols given in the problem set including s2.

-Calculate the value of the image distance s2′ in cm for the given values.

-What is the height of the second image formed by this system of lenses? Give a numerical answer in cm and it must be the absolute value of the calculations.
