Audio amplifiers use transformer coupling between the final amplifier stage and a speaker to match impedances and in order to avoid having the DC current of the final stage flow through the speaker coil. We wish to connect an 8 Ω speaker to an 8000 Ω amplifier. Calculate the turn ratio of the output transformer.
