Question - The company Sigma AB's EBIT amounted to SEK 5 billion in 2021. The company's market value is SEK 12 billion and it is financed 100% with equity. The company changes its capital structure and thus buys back 50% of its shares by issuing perpetual bonds worth SEK 6 billion, an annual coupon rate of 8%, and the coupon rate is expected to grow by 5% each year.

Required -

a) Calculate the tax shield for the company provided that the tax is 40%.

b) Calculate the value of the company after the change in the capital structure?
