When the ends of right handed doble-stranded, linear DNA of 83base pairs and 10.4 base pair/turn corresponding to B-DNA,were jointed together to form double-stranded circular DNA, the writhe(W) was zero. When the number of turns in DNA wa reduced by umwinding the DNA by 2 turns, and the ends joined together, strain was relieved by supercoiling. Calculate the L, T, and W fo ther resulting supercoiled circular DNA (Show all wor), and calculate the superhelical density,α.
