A steam turbine is used to test a well insulated air compressor. The inlet temperature and pressure of the turbine are 5 MPa and 400 C. The turbine exhausts into the ambient air. The turbine process is isentropic. The compressor exit pressure is 20 atm, its isentropic efficiency is 90% and its air mass flow rate is 5 kg/sec.

1) Determine the exit temperature of the compressor.

2) Calculate the power input into the compressor, assuming that the air has constant specific heats.

3) Determine the exit temperature of the turbine.

4) Calculate the steam mass flow rate through the turbine.
