A crane is pulling up a 60,000-kg submerged cylindrical storage tank in seawater with a speed of 0.1 m/s. The tank diameter is 2 m and its length is 16 m calculate the power requirement in horsepower to overcome the weight, buoyancy and drag if:

a) Cylinder length is parallel to the direction of motion,

b) Cylinder length is normal to the direction of motion.
