An electric power station is producing 1.2e3 W of power that is to be sent to a small town located 12 km away. Each of the two wires that comprise the transmission line has a resistance per kilometer of length of 5e-2 Ohms /km. Find the power lost in heating the wires if the voltage is steped up from 140 V to 1300 V using an ideal transformer.
