A split-phase motor has the following parameters : main winding effective resistance is 4ohm and effective reactance is 8?, and auxiliary winding effective resistance is 8ohm and effective reactance is 4ohm. If the line voltage E is 120V, calculate (a) The magnitude of Ia and Is; (b) The phase angle between Ia and Is; (c) The line current IL.
