The effluent stream is cleaned with a device that has the following efficiency characteristics: Eta m(0<dp<10 micrometers)=0, Eta m (10<dp<40 micrometers)=.5, Eta m (dp>40 micrometers) =1. Calculate the overall aerosol mass removal efficiency for the device. If the aerosol concentration is 200 mg/m^3, and the device operates steadily with a flow rate equal to 1.5 m^3/s, calculate the particulate emission rate at the exit of the device.
