Marble #1 (1.8kg) is traveling horizontally to the right at 5m/s behind marble #2(1.2kg) also traveling horizontally to the right, but at a slower speed of 2m/s. The marbles then collide head-on and elastic.

a) Find the velocity of each marble after the collision (relative to the reference of the ground). Does marble #1 rebound, or not, after impact?

b) Prove that the collision is elastic.

c) during impact, one marble pushes the other horizontally with a 844-N force. Calculate the magnitude of the impulse of the net force of either marble, and the time duration of the collision.
