The electron's magnetic moment is known as the "Bohr Magnetron" and has a theoretical value of ?B?eh4?m, where "h" is Planck's constant (h=6.63×10?34 J?s), and we have used the symbol ? for magnetic moment here (instead of "m") so as not to confuse it with the "m" in the equation which represents the mass of the electron. This theoretical value comes from assuming that the electron is a little ball of charge which is spinning on its axis. The spinning charge makes a equivalent current loop, i.e. an electromagnet.
