Assume that one hundred wolves of the same species reside on an isolated island develop a disease due to inbreeding. Scientists who ventured to the island have found that eight of the wolves have the disease and blood samples from all of the wolves on the island revealed that 34 of them are carriers for the disease. Calculate the inbreeding coefficient for this population of wolves. Assume Hardy-Weinberg conditions.
