c) Sketch the frequency response of the circuit shown on the axes given. Calculate the frequency at which there is maximum change in Vo.

QUESTION TWO

a) A 10kW, 400V, 50Hz, 4 pole, three phase induction motor runs at a power factor of 0.78 lagging and has a mechanical loss of 500W. The stator losses are 400W. The motor runs at a speed of 1440 rev/min.

i) Calculate Rotor power loss
ii) Calculate the motor Efficiency
iii) Estimate the stator current if the torque on the shaft doubles.

iii) Torque upon the shaft.
