A point charge q is situated between two infinate grounded parallel plates, at a distance x from one and a-x from the other.

a) find the poistion of the infinate number of image charges. Remember to state the boundry conditions and verify that the image configuration satisfies them.

b) calculate the force on a charge q in the form of an infinite series.

c) verify your answer for the force for the case x = a/2 give a physical explanation of this result.
