The diagram above shows three different fuids that have been added to a glass U-tube that is open to the air. The fuids are in equilibrium and do not mix. Let the fuid on the left have a density of 1000 kg m3 and the fuid on the bottom have a density of 1350 kg m3.

1. Calculate the pressure at the bottom of the fuid on the left.

2. Calculate the density of the unknown fluid on the right.
