Consider an ideal steam combined reheat and regenerative cycle in which steam enters the high-pressure turbine at 500 psia, 700 F, and is extracted for feedwater heating 120 psia. The remainder of the steam is reheated at this pressure to 700 F and fed to the low-pressure turbine. Steam is extracted from the low-pressure turbine at 20 psia for feedwater heating. The condenser pressure is 2 psia and both feedwater heaters are open heaters. Calculate the cycle thermal efficiency and the net work per lbm of steam. You must draw a clearly labeled schematic and a corresponding T-s diagram.
