A column is axially loaded in compression. The ends were specified to be fixed, but because of a manufacturing error they had one end fixed and the other end pinned. Calculate the buckling loads for the 5 ft-long columns made of 6061-T6 aluminum alloy having a solid, square cross section with 2-inch sides for the two end conditions and determine the percentage by which the buckling load is decreased because of the manufacturing error.
