In outer space, a baseball of mass m = 0.140 kg travels at velocity vi = (2.00 m/sec, 5.00 m/sec, 0); let the z-axis be up out of the plane of paper. The baseball impacts a stick of length 1.00 m with uniform density and mass M = 1.25 kg that is initially parallel to the y-axis. The point of impact is 0.200 m from the upper end; elapsed time of impact ?t = 0.025 sec. The recoil velocity of the baseball is vf = (-2.00 m/sec, 5.00 m/sec, 0). Compute the following quantities:

(a) the average interaction force on the stick;

(b) the acceleration of the center of mass of the stick just after impact;

(c) the average torque on the stick;

(d) the angular acceleration on the stick about the center of mass just after impact. Hint: can you compute the moment of inertia of this stick?
