A cross-flow fin-and-tube heat exchanger uses hot water to heat air from 290 to 300 K. Water enters the heat exchanger at 340 K and exits at 310 K. If the total heat-transfer rate is to be 300 kW and the average heat-transfer coefficient between the water and the air is 50 W/m2 ·K, calculate the area of the heat exchanger required and the mass rate of air flow through the exchanger.
