The simple pendulum (figure shown in Question 2) consists of a light but rigid bar of length L=0.7 m, with a ball on the end with mass M = 8.1 kg. The pendulum is released from the position shown in dashed lines.

As the pendulum passes through the vertical position with an angular velocity = 19 rad/s, it strikes a sphere of mass m = 1.3 kg, which is initially at rest.

Calculate the angular velocity which the pendulum has immediately after impact if the sphere moves to the left with a velocity v =1 m/s after impact.

Neglect friction, and take counterclockwise rotation as positive.

Your answer should be given with two decimal places, should have the correct sign, and should include the correct units.
