2. A physical pendulum is composed of a 1.4 m rod with mass mr = 0.5 kg and a solid sphere with mass ms = 2.0 kg and radius = 0.2 m is placed on the middle of the rod, as shown above.

(a) What is the angular frequency of the oscillation?

(b) At t = 0 s, the pendulum is at 0.09 rad with an angular velocity of 1.2 rad/s (note: angular velocity and angular frequency are not the same). Given these initial conditions and assuming the small angle approximation, find the equation of motion ?(t) for the system.
