A resistive load of 5Ω is connected to an ac source of 120V (rms) through a back-to-back SCR circuit (two parallel SCRs, with the anode of each one connected to the cathode of the other). The triggering angle of the forward SCR (the one that conducts at the positive half of the cycle) is 30°. The triggering angle of the other SCR is (180°+30°). Calculate the following:

a. Average voltage across the load

b. Power consumed by the load
