You are working in the business world a Systems Analyst, and are the most senior member of the IT team. As such, you can access anything you want that is sent through the network, including images, personal e-mails, Facebook/Meta messages, etc. The business is structured in such a way that this is perfectly legal. Is it ethical to read the private e-mail of your network users just because you can? What about in order to ensure sensitive company information isn't being distributed, or to make sure company rules aren't being violated? If you do read your employee's e-mails, should you disclose that policy to them and should you do it before or after the fact?
