Write an outline for a research paper on (conservatism) political ideology

The Topic should include 2 parts:

(a) conservatism

and

(b) your thesis

statement (2-3 sentences) introducing your paper and the event (the physical manifestation of your ideology) you have chosen.

Outline

You must submit an outline of the paper that includes (a) a paragraph (4-5 sentences) introducing your topic and the focus of your research as well as (b) a traditional outline format (Roman numerals I. A. 1. a., etc.). The outline should also include all of the parts

1. Briefly introduce the ideology (3-4 pages).

a. Outline the main principles of the ideology

b. Introduce and discuss the main writers who have defined the ideology.

c. Briefly discuss the historical context for the writers and how it influenced their writings.

2. Select one political event that represents the manifestation of the ideology (the ideology put into political practice). (2-3 pages)

a. Describe the political event.

b. Discuss how well it matches or matched the principles of the ideology (were the principles of the ideology followed? Why or why not?)

3. Based on the principles of the ideology and its physical manifestation you discuss, analyze the validity of the ideology. Your analysis should be based on your sources and your own perspective. Discuss questions such as:

a. Can and should the ideology be put into practice? Why or why not?

b. Does the ideology correctly understand and explain the political world and human nature? Why or why not? (3-4 pages)
