Case Study
Case studies are about our real-life situations and they involve an in-depth observation of a "case" like an event, process or even a person. The case study assignments requiredyou to go further, to analysesset of circumstances in relation to theory on the topic and possibly make some suggestions to solve a digital and social media marketing problem. You will have several case studies to choose from. Please choose ONE case study and complete the assessment as follows:
You are required to:
• Analyse and evaluate the current digital presence of the chosen case study business and establish the key strategic problem and how this could be resolved, which is supported with relevant academic theory. This case should not be seen and analysed in isolation, but within the wider context using databases such as Mintel and Euromonitor, etc.
• Then, you are to develop a digital and social media strategy which considers the strategic and tactical roles of social media and digital marketing.
• As a result of your evaluation, you are to provide recommendations for the chosen business case study.
Thus, the assignment requires you to demonstrate your skills of observation, analysis, problem solving, together with an understanding of digital and social media marketing. Throughout your report, you should adhere to the case content, logic of arguments (case presentation), critical issues and key problems that supported the case analysis (case building). Your conclusions and recommendations should be congruent with strategic analysis (case solution) and market segmentation and targeting strategy. Organization and logical flow of analysis and using Harvard formatting is required.
