Hypothetical Scenario:

3 medical professionals just came back from taking care of Ebola patients in Africa. 1 developed a fever and symptoms of Ebola and is in quarantine. Your sister is very upset that the other 2 medical professionals are able to walk around normally and aren't quarantined as well, especially because of the COVID-19 restrictions. You need to educate your sister on the differences between the two diseases and answer 3 of her questions. Remember, she is not medically trained, has a high school education, and only reads the newspaper:

  1. Why aren't the other 2 medical professionals required to quarantine? When people come close to someone with COVID-19 they have to quarantine for 14 days?
  2. I'm upset that you have to work at the same hospital as these people. Aren't you scared or worried that you'll get Ebola as well?
  3. What's the big difference between COVID-19 and Ebola? Is one more dangerous than the other?
