Instructions: Application of Redox reactions- the real life uses

In many important chemical reactions, electrons are transferred from atom to atom. These redox reactions otherwise known as oxidation and reduction reactions are complementary processes and always occur together. We are surrounded by redox reactions in our everyday life.
Step 1: Find four Oxidation- Reduction reactions in everyday life. You can choose up to three reactions from the list given below:
• Photosynthesis
• Respiration
• Combustion

Step 2: Answer the following questions for all four Oxidation-reduction reactions that youhave chosen.

Each Redox Reaction question:

1. Name the redox reaction

2. Write the chemical equation:

3. Identify the elements that are involved in the reaction, both names and symbols are required

4. Describe what occurs in this reaction by identifying reactants and products.

5. Explain the significance of this chemical reaction in a real world application.
