Beatriz Bank Robber planned an armed robbery at the Bank of America at Decatur and Charleston in Las Vegas. On the assigned day, she drove to the bank, parked in a lot right next to the bank for easy exit, put on a ski mask, grabbed her Glock firearm and the note she pre-wrote to give to the bank teller instructing them to give her all the money in the cash drawer or she'd kill them, and started to get out of the car. As she got out she saw two Las Vegas Metro PD cars speeding into the bank parking lot and parking right in front of the bank (coincidentally there was already a robbery in progress with hostages inside the bank!) Beatriz quickly got back in the car, stripped off the ski mask and crouched down to hide as she hide the note and gun. She quickly backed out and left the adjacent parking lot Beatriz could have used the defense of "abandonment" had she been noticed leaving the bank area in the mask with the gun as the police drove up.
