1.) Based upon the discussion case in the opening of Chapter Three (pp. 49 --52), do YOU think that Walmart is a "good" model for retail sales? Why or why not?  How would a Utilitarian and a Kantian deontologistanswer the same question?  Explain.  Review the steps for applying each theory outlined in the respective lectures. 

 2.) In Chapter Three, the author of your text outlines three basic types of corporate social responsibility (CSR): (1) the economic or classical model, (2) the stakeholder model, and (3) the strategic model. Explore the following website: Corporate Social Responsibility Newswire.  Click on the tab on the left of the homepage titled "News by Category" to pull down a menu and find a category of interest. Then select one news story from your selected category. In your opinion, which type of CSR (the economic, stakeholder, strategic model or other model discussed in Chapter Three) is primarily displayed in the news story you selected? Explain. 

3.) Share your thoughts about the video, The Tax-Free Tour, as it relates to the concept of corporate social responsibility. Use at least ONE specificexample from the video to punctuate your answer.

4.) Typically the full costs of the products and services purchased are rarely visible to the average consumer. Share your thoughts about Chris Jordan's photographic work. In your opinion to what extent, if at all, should businesses be held accountable for the costs of the products they manufacture and of the services they provide? Use a specific example from at least one of Jordan's photographs to punctuate your answer. How would you answer the same question for consumers of these products and services? Explain and defend your answers.

5.) Would the CSR policies of an organization influence your decision to use its products or services and/or to purchase its stock? Explain and defend your answer.

6.) Select one of W.D. Ross's "prima facie" duties (listed in the lecture onKant's Deontological Ethic under Chapter Two Assignments: Principle-Based Ethics and describe how the duty is exhibited (or failed to be exhibited) in a business-related news item reported recently (in the last two weeks). Provide a link to the relevant article
